When you join the USS Commonwealth you'll also be joining STARFLEET. We understand that you may not wish to join STARFLEET and only want to join the USS Commonwealth. This is prefectly fine however, you will not be able to hold a position on board the USS Commowealth, a Region One staff position, a STARFLEET staff position,or be able to attend STARFLEET Academy. You'll even miss out on getting a STARFLEET Mebership Certificate, Membership card, Membership Hanbook, 12 issues of the STARFLEET Communique', and the right to vote in the annual Commander of STARFLEET election.
The only thing you won't miss out on is getting your USS Commonwealth membership certificate, membership card, a membership handbook, and a yearly subscription to the INTERCOM, the offical USS Commonwealth newsletter. What do you miss out on if I don't join the USS Commonwealth and STARFLEET? Everything!
